In Episode 1 of Shinsei Kourin Dacryon Luna, Runa, Reina, and Miyu, members of the journalism club at Etoile Private Academy, activate the rumored Angel Maker app, unaware it is cursed by fallen angels. This transforms them into magical girls (Dacryons) to fight deformed monsters. During their first battle, they are overwhelmed and captured, their bodies restrained and violated by tentacles. Erika, another magical girl, rescues them, warning that continuing to fight will attract more danger, setting a dark tone for their supernatural struggle.
